Rain and I came Rolling Hills at the end July 2018. After years of searching for mostly a quarter horse, gelding, not too tall, hoping for bay in color, trying to stay open minded- well, never in dreams would I ever thought a little paint Spotted Saddle Horse would be my choice.
I knew nothing about a gaited horse and she knew nothing about me. Her little head strong, wild eyed personality reveal it's self quickly. She never tried to hurt me.
The first time I fell from the mounting block with my foot stuck in the stirrup, flat on my back, she just stood there looking at me. I'm sure she was thinking, "Please get up, you're embarrassing me."
I knew she was a good girl. We managed to come to terms. I think, we've got this.
I don't ride as offer I as I would like. I have a few trip planned in the near future.
My husband calls her my psychiatrist. I love my therapy. The only thing she wants from me are apple baked treats and carrots.
