Rolling Hills Farm and Equine, LLC
Hi, I’m Chloe! I own Strawberry, a red roan Tennessee Walking Horse mare.
I started volunteering at Rolling Hills almost 4 years ago back in the fall of 2016. I had very little experience with horses and started volunteering in hopes that I would be able to learn more and eventually get a horse of my own.
My sister and I got our first horse in the spring of 2017 after working and taking lessons at Rolling Hills for around 6 months. When I turned 16 I started scooping stalls everyday and that became my job.
I got Strawberry from Kristin in 2019. I wasn’t planning on getting a second horse at the time, but she was such an amazing trail horse and after riding her a couple of times I got attached.
Strawberry is incredibly sweet and gentle to people, when it comes to other horses though she gets pretty sassy. It has been so much fun to be able to own a gaited horse and learn more about them every day.
She was used as a trail horse and didn’t have any experience in the arena, but I feel like we both have made so much progress in the year that I’ve owned her.
I’m very grateful for Rolling Hills and all of the opportunities I’ve had since working there!
